Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Embedded Software Engineer located in Chirnside Park, VIC. The Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software systems for innovative HVAC solutions. Responsibilities include writing low-level code, testing and debugging embedded systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software, and optimizing system performance. The engineer will also ensure compliance with industry standards and maintain software documentation.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming, microcontroller programming, and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Experience with software testing, debugging embedded systems, and familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Strong skills in hardware-software integration, understanding of electronics, and hands-on experience with board bring-up
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or Modbus
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems or climate technology is a plus
