Security Clearance: NV1 (must be an Australian Citizen and willing to upgrade to NV2 if required)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data and Business Analyst to support security clearance processes and operational efficiency within a high-profile government division. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data analytics and national security, contributing to improvements in vetting operations and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse multiple sensitive data feeds to identify patterns, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to inform senior executive decision-making
- Ensure reporting processes are accurate, complete and timely
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the division to enhance analytic procedures and data governance
- Contribute to change initiatives aimed at improving security operations and data management
- Draft standard operating procedures for reporting and dashboard production
- Undertake ad hoc data and business analysis tasks as required
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Analytics or a related field
- Australian Citizen with a current NV1 security clearance and willingness to upgrade to NV2
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in digital and data systems such as SQL and/or Power BI
- Ability to engage in solution-focused discussions on data, systems and procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- High level of integrity and commitment to public service values
Please Note: This is a security-designated position. Applicants must hold a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance prior to commencement.
