Job Title: Data & Integration Specialist

Location : Brussels (next to Brussels Central) - Hybrid

Contract type : Freelance

Duration : Long-term (min 1 year with possibility for extension)

About the role

We are looking for a Data & Integration Specialist who can bridge the gap between technology, processes, and end users. In this role, you will monitor daily data flows and connections, ensure systems communicate correctly, and support stakeholders with integrations and new links.

A typical week may include:

• Monitoring data processes and jobs.
• Meeting with an external partner (e.g., social fund) to explain and document a new data link.
• Setting up a connector with the team in PHP/Laravel/Symfony.
• Preparing reports or presentations about data flows.
• Resolving an ad-hoc issue in a data connection.

You will work closely with colleagues, users, and external partners, and you are both technically skilled and strong in communication.

Must-have skills

Soft skills:

• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Dutch OR French
• Good knowledge of English (understanding & reading).

Hard skills:

• Familiar with classic Windows & Office environments.
• Knowledge of PHP (medium level – pro level not required).
• Basic knowledge of Laravel or Symfony framework.
• Experience with interfaces/EDI/data exchange.
• Experience with presentation tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to monitor data flows and jobs.

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience documenting and writing manuals/guides.
• Experience reporting and presenting data flows to stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience solving technical integration issues (e.g., RSZ data jobs).
