Hybrid: 50% on-site, 50% remote)

We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Specialist with expertise in Data Privacy & Ethics to strengthen our clients Data Governance team. This role focuses on enhancing data quality, regulatory compliance, and privacy across the organisation while supporting governance initiatives and emerging AI regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of data privacy and ethics risks across projects, processes, and systems.
- Produce clear and actionable risk reports, including recommendations for mitigation.
- Provide guidance and advice on data protection, compliance, and privacy matters.
- Support responses to data subject rights requests and manage potential data incidents.
- Develop and deliver awareness programs, training, and communications on data privacy and governance.
- Implement and maintain data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business and functional teams to improve the quality and value of core data assets.
- Contribute to AI-related initiatives by ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field. Other academic backgrounds with strong analytical expertise are welcome.
- GDPR/Data Protection Officer certification is a plus.
- 3–5 years’ experience in data governance, privacy, risk management, or compliance.
- Strong understanding of data protection principles, regulatory frameworks, and enterprise data governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams and managing change initiatives.
- Dutch: Native or Fluent OR French: Native or Fluent
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, autonomous, pragmatic, and committed.
