We’re looking for a freelance Data Modeller / Data Warehouse Engineer to join a leading information services company in Brussels.
You’ll help deliver a modern, enterprise-wide data warehouse. This is a hands-on, implementation-focused role - ideal for someone who enjoys designing and building scalable data models in a modern, cloud-first environment.
Logistics
- Position: Freelance Data Modeller / Data Warehouse Engineer
- Duration: 12-month contract (extension expected)
- Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
- Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - 2–3 days onsite)
- Start Date: Mid-November 2025
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement specific data models (hubs, links, satellites) aligned to the enterprise blueprint.
- Use automation tools to streamline data modelling.
- Develop and optimise SQL and ELT processes for data integration.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, and business teams to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Maintain alignment with governance, lineage, and architecture standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer, Data Modeller, or hands-on Data Architect.
- Strong knowledge of specific data modelling and practical modelling experience.
- Experience with data vault automation tools.
- Excellent SQL skills and understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift).
Nice to Have
- Experience with GCP or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD or data governance frameworks.
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
