Frontend Software Engineer - Greenfield Development (Day Rate Contract)

TechHeads is partnered with an exciting Irish Tech company that develops cutting-edge software solutions for enterprise scale clients. They are looking to grow their team with the addition of a Frontend Software Engineer. This role gives you the freedom to work remotely, allowing the opportunity to gain excellent work-life balance.
As a Frontend Software Engineer, your focus will be on designing and building interactive UI components. You will be creating these first-of-its-kind solutions with a modern tech stack, including React, TypeScript and more. Giving you a chance to develop your skillset with modern technologies and a team of like minded developers.
*This is initially a short term contract with high potential for an extension and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the frontend development of a greenfield application using React.
- Design, build, and iterate on interactive UI components.
- Define UI structure and styling – no dedicated UX designer, so you’ll shape the user experience yourself.
- Work closely with backend engineers and architects to integrate with data APIs and services.
- Ensure frontend code quality through testing and code reviews.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) as a full member of the scrum team.
- Help define frontend best practices and frameworks as the project evolves.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend development experience with a strong focus on React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to design UI/UX patterns and workflows without dedicated UX support.
- Comfortable working with data-heavy interfaces (e.g., charts, tables, filters).
- Good grasp of frontend architecture, component lifecycles, performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Proficient in Git, agile development workflows, and collaborative tools like Jira or Confluence.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with FlutterFlow and Streamlit
- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
Day Rate: €320-€400 DOE
