Zurich IT Department is currently divided between two locations, Blackrock in Co. Dublin and Drinagh in Co. Wexford.
The role advertised will be predominately based in Wexford with the primary focus on supporting the Zurich General Insurance business.
The IT team works closely with local Business Change, local subject matter experts and key 3rd parties to deliver and manage IT solutions that support the business strategy of Zurich Ireland.

Your role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the IT Department with responsibilities including…
- Learning and Developing skills in the use of Innoveo Skye application
- Working on a cross functional project team to implement project and BAU enhancements and changes
- Full training in Innoveo Skye will be provided
- No prior experience with Innoveo Skye required
- Communicate and work effectively with internal teams
- Work directly with Business user to capture document requirements
- Take ownership of developments and manage to assigned deadlines
- Exercise attention to detail in all aspects of performance
- Multitask and think critically under pressure
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation
- Manage release of developments from Dev to UAT to Production
- Builds good working relationships with IT team and wider Business users
- Experience in some light development such as Java & HTML (Advantage but not required)
- Responds maturely to ambiguity and complexity.
Having the following technical competencies:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in delivering software projects.
- Experience or knowledge with some of the following would be beneficial . . ..
- Knowledge of SSH, PuTTY and other protocol’s/tools.
- Basic understanding of GIT, branches, versioning, REST & SOAP API protocols
- Familiarity with React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XPATH, MySQL
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and Atlassian products such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in MS Office with a focus on Excel skills
- General Insurance industry knowledge, would be an advantage
- Proactive, enthusiastic with a hunger for excellence
- Able to cope with fast moving environment with varying workloads and pressures.

Position is Wexford-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
