My Dublin based client is recruiting for an experienced Information Security Officer to take ownership of IT and information security. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape security strategy, processes, and culture across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and maintain IT and information security policies, standards, and controls.
- Support the achievement and maintenance of key certifications (e.g. Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001).
- Identify, assess, and manage information security risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Work closely with IT, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Leadership to embed security by design into systems and processes.
- Oversee security tools and solutions, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response activity.
- Produce clear documentation, logs, and reports for audits, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Promote security awareness and best practice across the organisation through guidance and training.
Experience Required
- 3+ years’ experience in an information security role, ideally within a global or multi-site organisation.
- Good knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and controls (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, risk-based approach.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
