The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Governance & Ext. Affairs Team responsible for EU and Rest of the World (RoW) regions (i.e. AMET, APAC, LATAM) is looking for a Senior WHS Programme Manager (EU/RoW) to support the safety regulatory, standards and procedures, compliance activities (Audits) and stakeholder outreach in the EU and RoW Regions. This leader will support the comprehensive regulatory compliance and risk-based oversight strategy in EU-RoW Regions to enable and promote safe and efficient workplace across Business Units and multiple operations [e.g, Customer Fulfillment (CF), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) , Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Network].
The role should be based in Luxembourg with 30% of time travelling within EU or RoW.
Key job responsibilities
Workplace health and safety and program management working knowledge are essential as well as prior experience working with Business Units and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This leader needs to maintain agility and flexibility to ensure programs put in place will adapt to and scale to a fast-changing environment without lowering standards and to ensure that we are always doing what is right for the safety of our employees.

- Support and improve the comprehensive workplace health and safety regulatory compliance and risk-based oversight strategy for the EU-RoW regions, including but not limited to, WHS Regulatory activities, Compliance Assurance, Standards and Procedures (S&P), Risk management, Audits and/or Incident Reporting requirements.
- Monitor and advise on regulatory and policy initiatives impacting workplace safety.
- Build relationships within the Regions with key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Support the global WHS Governance team; plan and execute the leadership direction.
- Support the S&P and Audit programs across the regions focused on performance, risk-based oversight and continual improvement.
- Contribute to WHS Business Reviews.
- Maintain a working knowledge of WHS standards and procedures and Audits, as well as a thorough understanding of national/regional regulations and Amazon Business Units operating environment.
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
