Operations Research Scientist (Python, SQL) – Supply Chain Optimisation

Remote | 6-Month Contract | £500p/d (Outside IR35)

OB are partnered with a global leader in performance sportswear, known for innovation, rapid growth, and a data-driven approach to redefining the running industry.

We’re looking for an Operations Research Scientist to join their fast-paced, interdisciplinary Supply Chain Data Science team, working alongside data scientists, planners, and engineers to embed optimisation and analytics into every layer of the global supply chain.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement large-scale optimisation models (MILP) to solve complex supply chain challenges.
• Use Python and SQL (BigQuery) to build and scale data pipelines and models
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Logistics to translate business needs into optimisation solutions.
• Optimise inventory allocation, shipment modes, and transfer orders to drive efficiency and resilience

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years in Operations Research or Data Science
• Must have experience with MILP
• Strong Python and SQL skills (Pandas, Scikit-learn, BigQuery)
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain dynamics.
