Role - Senior Technical Designers – Design System (Figma)

Location - Dubai, UAE

Salary - 28 K AED per month

Notice Period: Immediate/Serving/30 Days

Experience Level: 7+ Years

Mandate Skills: Design System, Figma, Components, UI, Design Tokens, iOS, Web and App Design, Front-End Development, Swift and SwiftUI, Token Studio, Style Dictionary, Accessibility, Xcode and Git


Requirements & Skills

Technical Skills

  • HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), JavaScript TypeScript (ES6+) – solid foundation
  • Familiarity with at least one modern UI framework or library iOS (Swift UI) or Android (Compose)
  • Build/design tooling: Figma, Storybook, Style Dictionary, Figma‑to‑code plugins
  • Understanding of component architecture: theming, tokens, props API
  • Accessibility (WCAG 2.0/2.1), responsive design, mobile-first
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD and deployment pipelines for automated builds, testing, and package publishing
  • Version control (GitHub)
  • Agile/scrum experience

Design & UX Skills

  • Proficient in Figma
  • Strong sense of interaction, visual, and motion design with attention to detail
  • UX fundamentals: user flows, accessibility, inclusive design
  • Familiarity with ISO usability standards (ISO 9241) a plus Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication & c
  • ross-functional teamwork abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset: use data & feedback to iterate

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in front-end, product design, UX engineering or similar
  • Experience working on or contributing to a design system
  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, interaction design, computer science, or related field preferred

Role Overview

A Design Technologist in a design systems unit serves as a bridge between designers and

developers—supporting both to build consistent, high-quality digital products across the

organisation. Design system engineer acts as a workflow integrator, ensuring cohesion

between design and engineering.

Ideal for someone who can take design ideas from prototypes through to production-ready

code.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers to translate high-fidelity UI designs into interactive, coded UI components.
  • Build and maintain design-system components ensuring design consistency across products.
  • Develop accessible, performant, responsive interfaces (WCAG standards, internationalisation).
  • Document design patterns, assist in creating/maintaining the style guide and code library.
  • Document Design System components in Storybook.
  • Work within agile methodologies, participate in Agile ceremonies across Tribes.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to refine components, define and integrate design tokens and APIs.

Nice to have

- Experience developing/maintaining design systems in large-scale organizations.

- Develop, integrate, and maintain custom tools and automations for design and

engineering workflows
