About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team in building secure, high-performance financial applications. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Android solutions that power our digital banking and payment platforms, ensuring an exceptional user experience that meets industry security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop native Android applications (Kotlin/Java) for financial services, mobile banking, payments, or investment products.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs and backend services in a secure and scalable manner.
• Ensure compliance with financial data security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, MAS TRM, ISO 27001).
• Implement clean architecture (MVVM/MVP) and follow best practices in Android development.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining app reliability and performance.
• Stay current with emerging Android trends, frameworks, and financial technologies (e.g., Open Banking APIs, biometrics, digital identity).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Proven experience developing apps in the financial sector (banking, payments, lending, digital wallets, etc.).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices, encryption, and data privacy.
• Proficiency with Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack components, and Android SDK.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and push notification services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with biometric authentication (FaceID, fingerprint) and mobile security frameworks.
• Exposure to cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Firebase).
• Familiarity with OpenAI API, AI-driven features, or chatbot integration in mobile apps.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and financial compliance processes
