Role Purpose

Instituting and managing best in class portfolio management processes, performance monitoring and enhancement from strategic perspectives.

Position Information

Minimum Role Requirements

  • Bachelor in relevant discipline.
  • 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a management position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide inputs in defining Omantel's M&A and Corporate Development objectives and strategy
  • Collaborate with related units and senior management in developing post merger integration planning
  • Oversee the detailing and implementation of integration plan for closed deals on an end-to-end basis
  • Develop and manage policies, processes and routines for monitoring the performance of portfolio companies and benchmark against budgets, acquisition cases, PMI plan KPIs etc.
  • Flag material deviations and concerns on a timely basis as part of performance monitoring process
  • Monitor board meetings of portfolio companies and advise board on matters therein
  • Ensure proper governance, policies, procedures and charters are implemented in each portfolio company
  • Liaise with portfolio companies’ management on preparation of annual budgets and multi-year business plans
  • Liaise with and support portfolio companies in capital structure management decisions and initiatives and where required providing active support on capital raising in close coordination with Omantel Treasury
  • Where applicable, draw and quantify joint KPIs (e.g. ICT revenues) and monitor performance
  • Liaise with portfolio company in a timely manner to pre-empt and address any material deviations or variance
  • Manage periodic performance management reporting to Omantel management, BoD, BoD committees on portfolio companies' performance covering financial, commercial, operational KPIs and other significant matters;
  • Conduct periodic strategic review of portfolio companies and conclude with key strategic recommendations
