We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the combined scope of FinDB and Client Portal (CP) — two core systems powering payabl.'s financial and operational ecosystem.
This is a mission-critical position ensuring flawless performance of merchant settlements, reconciliation, profitability calculations, and client data management. You'll combine deep financial domain expertise with strong product ownership and delivery leadership. As the single point of accountability across both areas, you'll remove dependencies, ensure consistent cross-department alignment, and drive product excellence across Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Risk/Compliance.
- Location: London, UK / Limassol, Cyprus / Frankfurt, Germany / Fully Remote (Europe)
- Reporting Line: Head of Product
✔️ Product Ownership & Vision
- Define and maintain the long-term strategic vision and roadmap for FinDB and Client Portal
- Ensure both systems scale in line with business growth, regulatory expansion, and technical evolution
- Build future-proof capabilities
- Own the FinDB platform — ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant settlements, reconciliations, accounting integrations, and profitability calculations
- Oversee the Client Portal (CP) — our internal CRM platform for client lifecycle management, integrating CDD, AML, Risk, and Business Growth data
- Maintain platform stability and coordinate maintenance, releases, and improvement initiatives across both systems
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and Operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and smooth go-lives
- Be technically fluent — able to unblock engineering discussions, review logic, and understand code behavior at a high level
- Act as the main bridge between Finance, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams
- Translate financial and business needs into actionable technical requirements
- Manage expectations and communicate project status clearly across departments
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for both FinDB and CP
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, and API documentation. Conduct product demonstrations to stakeholders, showcasing new features and ensuring alignment
- Oversee data migration projects (e.g., from OpenDB to New FinDB) — ensuring data integrity, mapping accuracy, and operational continuity
- Define and document API specifications for integrations with internal and external systems
- Support SQL-based data queries and analysis when necessary
- Perform end-to-end verification before production deployment to ensure readiness and alignment with all requirements
- Maintain traceability of features and issues, ensuring full transparency of what's shipped and why
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements across product workflows, communication, and documentation
- Continuously evaluate product performance metrics and user feedback to inform iteration
- Experienced in Payments (Non-Negotiable): You have hands-on product management experience in the payments or fintech industry within acquiring, settlements, reconciliation, or financial data platforms. You understand how funds flow, how fees are calculated, and how merchant settlements are executed
- Financially Fluent: You understand how money moves. Familiarity with settlements, reconciliation, accounting logic (debits/credits), and financial calculations allows you to bridge business and engineering. A mathematical or analytical background is a plus
- Engineering-Savvy: You possess a strong grasp of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — from backlog refinement and sprint planning to QA and deployment. You can engage confidently with developers, challenge technical assumptions when needed, and help unblock the team
- Data-Driven Thinker: Comfortable using data and SQL queries to validate hypotheses, debug issues, and guide decision-making. Structured Communicator: You translate complex technical and financial concepts into simple, actionable insights tailored to your audience — whether senior stakeholders, engineers, or finance partners
- Stakeholder Manager Under Pressure: You stay composed and clear when priorities collide, maintaining transparency and trust across teams. You know how to manage expectations without losing momentum
- Outcome-Oriented: You focus on delivering results that make an impact — stable releases, improved workflows, and tangible business outcomes
- Collaborative and Resilient: You thrive in a cross-functional environment, balancing demands from Finance, Product, and Engineering. You can handle high-pressure situations, absorb complexity, and guide others through ambiguity
- Continuous Improver: You are naturally curious about how systems work, eager to refine processes, and not afraid to challenge the status quo in pursuit of better efficiency and scalability
- Grow Without Limits: Our environment is all about nurturing your talents and fueling your ambition with endless opportunities for professional development
- Multicultural Workplace: Thrive in a company that celebrates diversity and values your unique contributions. Here, every perspective is appreciated, and every voice is heard
- Lead the Charge in Pioneering Projects: Be at the forefront of innovation by playing a key role in groundbreaking projects
- Max Out Your Downtime: With 25 days off plus public holidays, and an extra 10 days for when you're under the weather, we make sure you have ample time to relax, recharge, and return brighter
- Support for Your Educational Aspirations: We're here to support your educational pursuits because we believe in investing in your growth.
- Transportation Allowance: After successfully completing your probation period, receive an additional £150 per month as a transportation allowance, added to your salary
- Uber Eats Meal Allowance: Receive a £150 Uber Eats allowance, credited to your Uber Eats account every month to enjoy delicious meals
