About the Project
Trivesta is building an educational gamified financial experience, designed to help wholesale and retail investors understand fund mechanics, risk allocation, and portfolio concepts in an interactive and engaging 3D environment.
The project combines financial education + gamification + 3D world interaction, similar to interactive simulations (e.g., Coastal World, Realgo-style learning environments).
We are looking for a passionate 3D Modelling Intern to join our R&D team and work with product managers, developers, and designers to bring the gamified world to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D models for characters, environments, objects, collectibles, and UI elements based on concept art and game design requirements.
- Work closely with the Product & Tech team to translate fund concepts (e.g., portfolio blocks, yield mechanics, rewards) into 3D visual assets.
- Optimise models for real-time rendering in WebGL/Unity/Unreal (depending on chosen engine).
- Assist in creating textures, materials, and simple animations for in-game interactions.
- Ensure consistent visual style and maintain an organised asset library.
- Collaborate in agile sprints and participate in design discussions.
- Support rapid prototyping and help iterate on features based on user testing feedback.
Requirements
Essential
- Currently studying 3D Animation, Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Graphics, or related discipline.
- Strong skills in at least one 3D tool: Blender, Maya, Cinema4D, 3ds Max, or ZBrush.
- Understanding of texturing, UV mapping, and basic rigging.
- Ability to optimise assets for lightweight, web-friendly real-time performance.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Portfolio or examples of previous 3D work (student projects accepted).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
- Experience with low-poly stylized assets
- Knowledge of gamification concepts or interest in finance/crypto/fund mechanics
- Experience creating simple VFX, shaders, or particle effects
- Previous exposure to AI-assisted modelling workflows (e.g., Meshy, Spline AI, Luma)
What You Will Learn
- How to translate real-world investment & fund concepts into interactive 3D visual systems
- Modern asset optimisation for WebGL/Unity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, UI/UX)
- Exposure to how fintech companies build educational gamified experiences
- Opportunity to contribute to a real product with potential to be showcased publicly
- Possible pathway to part-time or full-time employment for top performers
Benefits
- Internship certificate & reference letter upon completion
- Flexible work hours suitable for university students
- Opportunity to participate in Trivesta R&D meetings and internal demos
- Mentorship from product managers, tech leads, and UI/UX designers
