About The Company
We’re a distributed technology group working on several initiatives related to digital finance and emerging tech. Our engineering and design teams contribute across multiple products, and strong coordination is essential to keep everything running smoothly. We’re looking for a Junior Project Coordinator to support our lead PM by managing the operational details that keep projects organized and moving forward.
Position Overview
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our lead project manager to turn high-level requirements into clearly structured tasks, organize them within our workflow tools, and keep track of progress across different streams of work. You’ll help maintain internal documentation, assist with planning cycles, and act as an initial contact point when the lead PM is tied up.
This position is ideal for someone early in their career who has a technical background, enjoys structured processes, and wants hands-on training in project management within a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Task Structuring & Workflow Support
- Translate requirements into actionable tasks with well-defined criteria and timelines.
- Upload and maintain tasks in our system.
- Track dependencies and ensure that work items remain organized.
- Take instructions from the PM and team leads and formalize them into clear, actionable tickets.
- Communicate expectations to designers and developers in a concise, structured manner.
- Monitor day-to-day progress across active workstreams.
- Flag risks, delays, or blockers early and escalate when needed.
- Assist with sprint planning, updates, and routine check-ins.
- Prepare meeting notes, weekly updates, and sprint summaries.
- Keep records organized so the team has accurate visibility into ongoing work.
- Build collaborative relationships with engineers, designers, and other functions.
- Act as a first point of contact when the PM is unavailable.
- Follow up on overdue items and provide status updates.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years in a technical, product, or coordination role.
- Basic understanding of software development processes and some exposure to coding — enough to understand developer workflows.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable managing multiple parallel tasks.
- Familiarity with tools like Monday.com and Slack is a plus, but not required.
- Interest in learning Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Clear thinkers with people skills: We look for individuals who combine analytical ability with empathy and collaboration.
- Structured but adaptable: Able to create clarity in evolving environments.
- Independent and proactive: Comfortable taking ownership and progressing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Remote-focused: Strong written communication and comfort working asynchronously across time zones.
- Ownership mindset: Treats tasks and projects with care, responsibility, and initiative.
- AI-capable: Uses tools like ChatGPT thoughtfully to enhance—not replace—critical thinking.
