🔍 About the Role

As Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll drive the technical direction of cloud-native projects, from architecture design to delivery. You’ll guide your team and clients across all stages: from PoC to scalable production systems, ensuring security, cost-efficiency, and governance every step of the way.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing cloud-native architectures (GCP, Azure, AWS) with a focus on scalability, compliance, and reliability.
• Leading Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar frameworks.
• Driving platform engineering and automation, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and enabling continuous improvement.
• Consulting with clients on cloud governance, FinOps, and security frameworks.
• Guiding teams and mentoring engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Supporting pre-sales and business development initiatives across the company.

💡 About You

• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Cloud or SaaS projects on Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with AI & data engineering tools (OpenAI, Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse, etc.) is a big plus.
• A passion for refactoring PoCs into production-grade architectures.
• Strong communication and consulting skills - you enjoy guiding clients and mentoring teams. Ideally you even like doing some sales.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Ideally, you have a software engineering background.
