At KAI GmbH, you will perform your project in an industrial research environment, working alongside experienced professionals in data science, design, simulation, and semiconductor technology. You will collaborate with universities and research facilities to support your academic growth and offer career opportunities in the semiconductor industry with our partner Infineon.

Key responsibilities in your new role:

  • Method Integration: Support the integration of new Computer Vision methods into existing infrastructure
  • Coding: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages like Python, JavaScript, or Typescript
  • Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve basic software issues with guidance from senior developers
  • Development: Contribute to internal tools, prototypes, or features for existing products
  • Collaboration: Attend team meetings, provide progress updates, and seek feedback to improve skills

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Duration: min. 6 months

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:

  • Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
  • Technical Skills: Python (preferably fastAPI, SQLAlchemy, pandas, torch) and/or Typescript (preferably React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS), basics of Machine Learning, basics of Docker
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn new technologies
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effective communication

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
