We are now calling on all Senior Frontend Engineer Heroes! OTO is currently on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team! Bring your A-game, expertise, and enthusiasm & join us in driving OTO's growth into the MENA Market! Join us and let's conquer new horizons together!

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritization, planning, coordination and communication of frontend features within the Frontend team;
  • Maintain the best practices and standards common to OTO's frontend capability;
  • Onboarding, monitoring and conducting training for new Engineers;
  • Design core UI components primarily in React;
  • Conduct design and code reviews, taking accountability for bug fixes and ensuring standards for code quality are met;
  • Create learning resources to be used across the team you are mentoring;
  • Setting up and maintaining the development and deployment infrastructure for the frontend team you are a part of;
  • Work closely with our Frontend Team Lead, collaborating with other Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to build the product;
  • Be involved with the product life cycle;
  • Translate business requirements from Product Managers to technical requirements for Frontend team;
  • Actively look out for the best open source technologies to be used in the development of OTO's products;
  • Create and maintain reusable component libraries that are used in projects company-wide.

Requirements:

For this role, it is essential that have

  • Proven experience as a full-time Frontend Engineer at least 5 years (at least 3 years with React)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of React, including React Hooks & Functional Components
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Show evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of high-scale web applications (e.g., well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
  • Experience delivering a high-quality product as an individual contributor as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
  • Ability to write high-performance, maintainable and reusable code
  • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
  • Fluent in English at a professional level

  • International experience
  • Previous work in fast-growing SaaS start-ups
