Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

We're looking for a backend engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building robust systems end-to-end. You'll work across data pipelines, APIs and infrastructure, ensuring our platform runs efficiently and scales cleanly as we grow.

• Develop and maintain backend features and APIs for our core platform
• Improve database performance, reliability and real-time data processing
• Debug, profile and optimise code to keep latency low and systems stable
• Collaborate with AI, frontend and product teams to integrate new capabilities
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of our backend stack

Profil

• 3–5 years' experience building production-grade backends (Python preferred; Go, C++, or Java also valuable)
• Solid in SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experienced with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a problem
• Startup mindset — quick to ship, focused on quality, allergic to bureaucracy

• Linux debugging and performance tuning
• Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with data pipelines or analytical databases
• Interest in edge/cloud hybrid architectures
