Job Overview Summary
As an Automation Test Engineer II, you will be involved from the ground up in building and maintaining requirement driven test scenarios, cases, and plans to ensure quality software releases. A key aspect of your role will include concentrating on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, ensuring that execution environments are consistently updated, and meticulously tracking issues that arise during regression testing. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Software Test Engineering team to improve the overall internal quality system and assist in internal/external quality audits. You will work integrally with product line management, project managers, support, and developers to ensure a quality driven product.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship to team members for best practices and code review.
- Multi-task daily activities with offline projects.
- Assist in maintaining and modernizing automation framework.
- Drive initiatives for software quality process efficiency and improvements.
- Design, document, execute, and maintain test plans, scenarios, use cases, scripts and procedures.
- Design, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Assist in CRM/File Share administration.
- Conduct full lifecycle testing including integration, regression, and stress tests.
- Document software defects using the company’s CRM tracking system.
- Provide input on functional requirements and potential problems.
- Find and report defects to software developers.
- Help investigate customer problems as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
This role is open to candidates working remotely or hybrid in Ireland
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
- 4 years of related experience.
- 3 years of automated testing experience, including building and maintaining automation testing solutions for frontend UI and backend API.
- Experience with version control and issue tracking.
- Proficient in one or more of the following coding languages:
- C# with Selenium
- Proficient in one or more of the following testing tools:
- GitHub (Git), SQL, Playwright, Nunit, Junit, Taurus, JMeter, Postman, Appium
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
- Knowledge of healthcare and clinical trial industry standards and regulations.
- Methodical and thorough approach to problem troubleshooting and solving.
- Sound interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Aptitude to think more widely about the context of work and broader interdependencies.
- Strong fundamentals with SDLC methodologies (Agile, waterfall)
- Passionate about quality assurance.
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation.
- Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
- Learn and comprehend basic instructions.
- Focus and pay attention to tasks and responsibilities.
- Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking.
The base salary range for this role is €37,000 - €55,500. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
