About the Company
Our client is expanding their Cybersecurity team in Cork. They are seeking a Security Operations Engineer to support and enhance their Identity, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Encryption Services.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring secure, appropriate, and efficient access to enterprise resources, while contributing to the delivery and resilience of critical IAM services across global operations.
About the Position
As a SecOps Engineer (Identity, PAM & Encryption), you will be responsible for supporting 24/7 identity and access services, ensuring operational stability, security, and compliance.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation to support global operations outside standard hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and support IAM, PAM, and encryption systems.
- Manage incident response, problem resolution, and change management processes.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and apply security patches.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Support compliance and audit activities related to identity services.
- Collaborate with global IT and security teams to ensure alignment and service excellence.
- Provide user support and documentation of processes, configurations, and incidents.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
On-Call Rotation
- Weekend and holiday on-call coverage as part of a global “follow the sun” model.
- Typically, two weekends every 4–6 weeks (Saturday & Sunday).
- Fixed on-call allowance plus hourly premiums for hours worked.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 1–3 years’ experience supporting or delivering IAM services.
- Hands-on experience with CyberArk, Venafi, and Sectigo certificate management.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL or IT Service Management frameworks.
- Understanding of core security principles and PKI encryption.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, PHP, etc.).
- Knowledge of privileged access concepts (e.g., Just-in-Time Access).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related security controls.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred.
