Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with other engineers and product teams to build and optimize scalable backend services and microservices architecture.

We invite you to:

Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs using Java
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices
Monitor production environments to ensure availability, performance, and reliability, addressing issues proactively
Take ownership of microservices in production, managing deployment, monitoring, and incident response
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
Implement and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure high software quality
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions
Optimize database queries and design efficient data structures to improve performance and scalability
Follow architectural guidelines and best practices provided by the Tech Lead and Architect
Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues, ensuring smooth system operations

We expect you to have:

5+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Java
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Experience with API development and database management (SQL/NoSQL)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools
Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools for production environments
Strong understanding of software testing (unit, integration, performance)
Experience working in Agile environments
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Proficiency in English

An advantage would be:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization
Familiarity with security and compliance best practices

Salary: from 5000 to 6000 EUR (gross) per month, depending on your experience and skills
