We’re supporting a global leader in digital navigation and location technology on a major acceleration of their mapping platform roadmap across three core teams.

You'll take a vital role in designing and implementing Java microservices that ensure navigation services are fast, reliable, and scalable.

What you’ll work on...

• Designing and implementing microservices that power navigation visualisation, routing, search, geocoding, and internal APIs.
• Ensuring that services meet high performance, low latency, and resilience on a global scale.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on containerisation, orchestration, and observability.

What we’re looking for...

• Strong experience as a Java Engineer building and operating backend services.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs (bonus: other protocols like gRPC).
• Experience with cloud-native environments and concepts (containers, microservices, CI/CD).
• Ideally, knowledge in location-based services, mapping APIs, or navigation systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and integration.
