Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) – EMEA

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to lead our strategic growth and investment agenda across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This is a senior leadership position responsible for identifying, assessing, and executing acquisition, divestment, and partnership opportunities that align with the company’s long-term business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, cross-border transactions within the life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical sectors, and a strong understanding of the regulatory and commercial dynamics across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
- Develop and implement the company’s regional M&A strategy in alignment with global corporate goals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support both organic and inorganic growth.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure successful deal execution and integration.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate strategic fit and value creation potential.
- Represent the company in negotiations and develop relationships with investment banks, advisors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments across EMEA to inform strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Strategy, ideally within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
- Proven track record leading complex cross-border transactions across the EMEA region.
- Strong financial acumen with deep experience in valuation, deal structuring, and integration.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance high-level vision with operational execution.
- Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
