We are building our Engineering Team in Cluj to set the architectural and engineering standards, best practices, and processes that will drive the development of our Automation Platform. We’re looking for a hands-on Engineer to join our global team and play a key role in developing and implementing this exciting new greenfield technology platform. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to make an impact—working alongside senior engineers from around the world to help deliver a large-scale platform that will transform our business.
We will count on you to:
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to distributed technology teams building the Digital Automation Platform.
- Envision and develop core components that enable low-code front-end and back-end development, supporting seamless integrations and enhancing customer experiences across channels.
- Collaborate with Marsh McLennan teams on new and existing product development opportunities.
- Continuously learn about new technologies and share insights to keep the team up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Help define and ensure adherence to technology standards, architecture, and engineering best practices across platform and implementation teams.
- Work with senior business and technology leaders worldwide to translate business needs into technical solutions that deliver real value.
What you need to have:
MERN Stack Proficiency (3-5 years commercial experience)
- TypeScript: Skilled in both API and UI development approaches.
- React: Strong understanding of context management and UI architecture.
- Node.js: Experience with NestJS or Express frameworks for REST API development.
- MongoDB: Proficient in database aggregations and data modeling.
Additional Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable, customer-facing digital products.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript, including various data structures. Proficiency in SCSS and UI frameworks such as Angular and/or React.
- In-depth understanding of the DOM, DOM events, NPM, semantic versioning, and package distribution.
- Familiarity with automated testing strategies using common libraries and frameworks.
- Understanding of security best practices and identity management processes. Experience with technologies such as Okta is a plus.
