Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Information Technology Team. This person will work on various development software projects as stipulated by the Software Engineers. For example: tool development, test automation, debugging assistance, etc. The Software Developer Intern will report to the Lead Software Engineer.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Filling gaps in development, testing and deployment by creating appropriate solutions using all appropriate tools, for example, internal utility app in Java, shell scripting, Bitbucket pipeline automation etc. Thoroughly documenting developed solutions.
- Develop Proof-of-Concepts to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Product team in ideation of features and coming up with technical specifications upon receiving business requirements
- Work closely with the other teams within Product team such as QA and collaborate with other groups within the IT organization such as Infrastructure and IT Security & Compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent (ongoing or completed).
- Good proficiency with one generalized programming language such as Python, Golang, or Java.
- Excellent communication skills with respect to technical matters.
- Great enthusiasm to learn new things and tackle technical challenges.
- Basic understanding of funds, structured products and blockchain (good to have)
- Able to commit full-time for 6 months.
