Data Scientist
Contract: Full-time
Location: Onsite – Washington, D.C., USA (50-mile radius)
Salary Range: $125,000 – $200,000 annually
Security Clearance: Top Secret (TS)
Planet Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to support high-impact analytics and automation projects within secure federal environments. This role focuses on developing data-driven solutions, predictive models, and business intelligence tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Job Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and implement data solutions to extract insights and support strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate across teams to build predictive models, automate processes, and improve data visualization and integration methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, applications, and automations.
- Connect to APIs and establish system-to-system integrations for ETL processes.
- Develop predictive risk models and apply AI/ML techniques to analyze unstructured data.
- Create and deliver comprehensive data calls, normalization, and visualizations.
- Produce business intelligence analyses and visualizations for leadership.
- Improve methodologies and tools used for risk assessment.
- Research and recommend data storage and integration solutions.
- Develop user documentation and guides for BI products.
- Utilize data science tools such as SQL, R, and Python in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath (required).
- Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Experience with data science toolkits such as R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, and BI tools like Power BI, Anaconda, or SPSS.
- Experience working with or integrating FBI systems (preferred).
- 2–6+ years of experience in data science or related fields (certifications or equivalent experience may be considered).
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with FBI data systems and federal compliance frameworks.
- Experience implementing machine learning for risk modeling or automation.
