This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Analyst in the United States.

In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding critical infrastructure and cloud-native applications while supporting the organization's security and compliance initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, implement security best practices, and ensure regulatory requirements are met. This position offers exposure to both governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and technical security work, providing opportunities to grow across multiple disciplines. You will contribute to shaping security processes, automation, and monitoring practices that protect internal systems and customer environments. Collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.

Accountabilities

  • Support and enhance compliance strategies, audits, and tools to maintain high standards of security and regulatory adherence
  • Represent the security program to internal stakeholders, customers, and prospects in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Assist in building and testing security detections for cloud and application environments
  • Manage and track vulnerabilities, risks, and follow-up actions in a structured risk register
  • Contribute to ongoing security initiatives, including automation, process improvement, and tool evaluation
  • Apply best practices in secure coding, cloud security, and identity/access management
  • Participate in on-call rotations as part of the security operations team


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in information security, IT, or compliance-related roles
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF
  • Interest and aptitude for both GRC and technical security work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining security concepts to technical and non-technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines
  • Bonus: Open-source or automation experience, AI security knowledge, proficiency in multiple programming languages, experience with SIEMs, vulnerability management tools, or security certifications (e.g., Security+, GSEC, CCSK)

  • Estimated salary: USD $125,000 - $160,000, depending on experience and location
