About the Role
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the Insurance industry, is seeking an Agile Coach within the Transformation Office, you will play a key role in driving enterprise-level Agile and product transformation initiatives. You will partner with program management, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), product managers, and IT leadership to embed Agile principles and practices across multiple portfolios. This role is instrumental in guiding both newly formed and established teams through their transformation journeys, focusing on effective delivery, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach teams and leaders across portfolios (ranging from 3 to 25 teams) on Agile ways of working, emphasizing value delivery and sustainable agility.
- Facilitate and support key SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, and Product Owner Syncs.
- Manage and refine epic and feature-level backlogs, ensuring alignment between business strategy and execution.
- Drive adoption and effective use of Agile tools such as Targetprocess and Azure DevOps, providing hands-on coaching and best practices for transparency, planning, and reporting.
- Review portfolio metrics such as backlog health, throughput, and predictability to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with transformation leaders to develop and scale Agile practices and frameworks tailored to organizational context.
- Promote critical thinking around SAFe implementation - focusing on principles and outcomes rather than rigid compliance.
- Build trust and engagement across technical and business teams through transparent communication and outcome-oriented coaching.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach or Agile Transformation Lead in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated success coaching teams and leadership at the program or portfolio level through Agile execution and change adoption.
- Hands-on experience with Targetprocess and Azure DevOps, with the ability to guide tool configuration, usage, and adoption.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of SAFe principles and frameworks, with the ability to adapt practices to organizational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe certification (e.g., SPC, SA, SASM) or equivalent Agile credentials.
- Experience integrating training and coaching to build internal capability rather than delivering standalone instruction.
- Background or mindset aligned with product management or product ownership in Agile environments.
- Experience coaching across multiple Agile tools beyond Targetprocess and Azure DevOps.
