Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
- Design, plan, and implement LAN and WAN solutions for enterprise environments.
- Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches (6500/4500/Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K, 9K), and Meraki wireless systems.
- Manage enterprise-level WAN and Internet circuits, including inter-data center connectivity.
- Implement and support network security technologies (Cisco Sourcefire IDPS, FTD; Zscaler; Cisco ISE; Palo Alto NGFWs; Palo Alto GPVPN; Cisco ACI; SilverPeak SD-WAN).
- Configure and maintain Site-to-Site VPNs.
- Perform network performance analysis using packet capture tools (Wireshark and similar).
- Utilize SolarWinds for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- 5+ years of experience managing and supporting large enterprise network environments.
- Advanced knowledge of IP routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) and TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and tools.
- Experience with SD-WAN and VPN technologies.
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE) are a plus.
- Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.
