Job Description
- Conduct regular HSE inspections on the construction site to verify compliance with the EPC contractor’s HSE plan and end-client requirements.
- Identify hazards, unsafe acts/conditions and issue corrective actions / recommendations.
- Check implementation of PPE, work permits, lifting operations, work at height, hot works, traffic management, housekeeping, etc.
- Participate in incident / near-miss reporting and basic investigations as needed.
- Prepare concise HSE visit reports for the Project Manager and follow up on action closure.
- Degree in Engineering or HSE-related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in HSE on construction / industrial / energy projects (renewables or power plant experience preferred).
- Recognised HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH IGC or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices.
- Strong communication, auditing and reporting skills in English.
- Based in Oman or able to travel regularly to Sohar for site visits.
- Approx. 9-month assignment with site visits
