About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer with strong expertise in the Laravel framework to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying high-performance web applications while ensuring scalability, reliability, and clean code practices. This role offers an opportunity to work on live, large-scale web platforms while leveraging AI-powered tools for faster and more efficient development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework, following clean code principles.
• Ensure code quality, reusability, and adherence to industry standards.
• Manage deployment and version control using Bitbucket, coordinate code merges, and monitor repository activity.
• Handle application hosting and deployment on Linux/AWS servers, ensuring uptime and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate through all stages of the development lifecycle — from requirement analysis and design to deployment and post-launch maintenance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable web solutions.
• Utilise AI tools and automation to boost development productivity and enhance code quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Laravel (Core PHP) development.
• Proven experience managing version control using Bitbucket or similar tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and web application design patterns.
• Experience deploying applications on Linux/AWS servers.
• Experience developing and maintaining high-traffic web applications or portals (millions of users or hits).
• Ability to handle the complete end-to-end application lifecycle, including development, deployment, and support.
• Familiarity with AI-based tools for code generation, testing, or deployment (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptable to evolving project needs.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js, React.js, or Angular.
• Knowledge of API integration, MySQL optimisation, and RESTful architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to containerization tools like Docker.
