Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) are seeking an experienced Technology Business Lead to join our Digital, Information and Technology (DIT) team.

The ideal candidate will support the operations of DIT as well as the supporting the implementation of RSHQ's strategic digital portfolio.

As part of the ICT team, this role will work closely with a small team of highly motivated professionals, bringing your knowledge and experience to participate in all aspects of our digital transformation.

As the Technology Business Lead, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of RSHQ's strategic and operational digital needs. Working together with your peers within the DIT team, whilst collaborating with the corporate and business functions. You will understand their needs and then develop digital frameworks and processes that set up the DIT team to deliver business outcomes, whilst making day-to-day business engagement seamless. We're looking for someone who's got a strategic, continuous improvement mindset, whist ensuring compliant and efficient operations in a government environment.

Your Opportunity Is To Contribute To RSHQ Through

  • Planning - working closely with the DIT Director, you will lead and support operational and strategic budget planning.
  • Finance Management - as the finance expert of the DIT team, you will ensure the financial position of the team across the digital portfolio and operations are managed and effectively utilised.
  • Risk Management - you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the organisation's digital risk management framework, ensuring accountability for the capture of risks and the implementation of suitable controls.
  • Procurement and purchasing - as a large part of managing DIT's operations includes engaging with many third-party vendors and other purchasing requirements, you will lead procurement and purchasing to ensure resources are available to the organisation when they are needed.
