• Location: Between Parramatta & Sydney Olympic Park (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
• Contract Duration: 12-month initial term, with strong view to extend until program completion in 2031
• Rate: Up to $1,190.00 + super per day

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to provide strategic oversight and governance across a portfolio of complex technology projects. This is not a hands-on delivery role; instead, you will act as the key point of escalation and governance for multiple streams, ensuring effective reporting, risk management, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Major Programs, you will:

• Oversee governance, reporting, and risk management across approximately 12 projects.
• Act as the first point of escalation for Project Managers and Directors.
• Support executive leadership with strategic planning, interdependency management, and business case updates.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including central agencies, to ensure funding and compliance.
• Provide monthly to quarterly program-level insights and structure to drive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio-level governance and advanced reporting.
• Risk identification and resolution across multiple projects.
• Support business case development and gateway reviews.
• Ensure alignment of delivery streams with program objectives.
• Unblock issues and manage escalations effectively.

About You

• Experience in Governance and risk management. PMO functions. Advanced reporting and structuring governance frameworks.
• Resolving cross-project challenges.
• Hybrid experience valued (portfolio/program management).
• Less emphasis on frontline policing systems knowledge (covered by Project Directors).
• Must demonstrate ability to manage large, complex programs and provide strategic oversight.
