Our client, a leading defence technology organisation, is seeking an experienced RF Integration and Field Support Engineer to join their team in Finland. This critical role involves the integration, testing, and field support of advanced electronic warfare equipment. The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge RF systems, ensuring optimal performance of sophisticated defence technologies whilst providing technical expertise to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate and test RF components and subsystems within electronic warfare platforms, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and performance requirements
  • Conduct system-level testing, troubleshooting, and validation of RF electronic warfare equipment in laboratory and field environments
  • Provide technical field support to clients, including on-site installation, commissioning, and training on electronic warfare systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex RF integration issues, working collaboratively with design engineers and project teams
  • Develop and execute test procedures, integration plans, and technical documentation for electronic warfare systems
  • Support product demonstrations, field trials, and customer acceptance testing activities
  • Maintain detailed records of integration activities, test results, and field service reports
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure successful system delivery
  • Travel domestically and internationally to client sites as required for installation, maintenance, and technical support activities
  • Ensure all work complies with defence industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols

Asiakkaamme, johtava puolustusteknologiaorganisaatio, etsii kokemusta RF-integraatio- ja kenttätukiinsinööriä tiiminsä vahvistamiseksi Suomessa. Tässä kriittisessä tehtävässä työskentelet edistyneiden elektronisen sodankäynnin laitteiden integroinnin, testauksen ja kenttätuen parissa. Menestyvä hakija työskentelee huipputeknisten RF-järjestelmien parissa varmistaen kehittyneiden puolustusteknologioiden optimaalisen suorituskyvyn ja tarjoten teknistä asiantuntemusta asiakkaille ja sisäisille tiimeille.

Keskeiset vastuualueet

  • Integroida ja testata RF-komponentteja ja -alijärjestelmiä elektronisen sodankäynnin alustoilla varmistaen vaatimustenmukaisuuden teknisten eritelmien ja suorituskykyvaatimusten kanssa
  • Suorittaa järjestelmätason testausta, vianmääritystä ja validointia RF-elektronisen sodankäynnin laitteistolle laboratorio- ja kenttäympäristöissä
  • Tarjota teknistä kenttätukea asiakkaille, mukaan lukien paikan päällä tapahtuva asennus, käyttöönotto ja koulutus elektronisen sodankäynnin järjestelmistä
  • Diagnosoida ja ratkaista monimutkaisia RF-integrointiongelmia yhteistyössä suunnitteluinsinöörien ja projektityhmien kanssa
  • Kehittää ja toteuttaa testausmenettelyjä, integrointisuunnitelmia ja teknistä dokumentaatiota elektronisen sodankäynnin järjestelmille
  • Tukea tuote-esittelyjä, kenttäkokeita ja asiakkaan hyväksyntätestauksia
  • Ylläpitää yksityiskohtaisia tietueita integrointitoiminnoista, testituloksista ja kenttähuoltoraporteista
  • Pitää yhteyttä poikkifunktionaalisiin tiimeihin, mukaan lukien laitteistoinsinöörit, ohjelmistokehittäjät ja projektipäälliköt järjestelmän onnistuneen toimituksen varmistamiseksi
  • Matkustaa kotimaassa ja kansainvälisesti asiakaskohteisiin asennusta, huoltoa ja teknistä tukea varten
  • Varmistaa, että kaikki työ noudattaa puolustusteollisuuden standardeja, turvallisuusmääräyksiä ja laadunvarmistusprotokolia

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, RF Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in RF systems integration, testing, or field support
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, electronic warfare concepts, and electromagnetic spectrum operations
  • Demonstrated experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analysers, network analysers, signal generators, and power metres
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, integration drawings, and system specifications
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with complex electronic systems
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 40% of time) to client sites domestically and internationally
  • Valid driving licence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances for defence work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with electronic warfare systems, radar systems, or military communications equipment
  • Knowledge of Finnish defence industry standards and practices
  • Proficiency in Finnish language
  • Familiarity with military specifications and NATO standards
  • Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar technical software tools
  • Prior experience working in field support or customer-facing technical roles
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to defence systems
  • Previous work experience within the defence or aerospace sectors
  • Professional certifications related to RF engineering or systems integration

Benefits

Salary Range: €60,000 - €85,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications), with potential for higher compensation for exceptionally qualified candidates
