About The Role
We are here to create great healthcare products. That’s at our very core, but it’s the people who make companies great, not the other way around. We spend more time with our co-workers than anyone else in our lives. Being part of an exceptional team is not only important for your personal mindfulness but key for your professional progression.
We are seeking a Product Data Analyst Intern with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for turning raw data into actionable product and design insights. You will be instrumental in querying, analyzing, and visualizing product usage data to help our teams understand what users are doing, why they are doing it, and how we can improve their experience. This is a hands-on role where you will directly support product discovery, monitor product health, and measure the success of new features, becoming a vital link between our data, product, and design strategies. 🚀
Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Write and execute complex SQL queries against our product database to extract specific, clean datasets for analysis.
- Develop clear, insightful, and automated dashboards and reports to monitor key Product Health Metrics (e.g., adoption, retention, feature usage, performance).
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover friction points, usage patterns, and opportunities for design and product iteration (e.g., A/B test analysis, funnel analysis, segment analysis).
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to define measurable goals (KPIs) and analytical approaches for new features and product experiments.
- Translate analytical findings into compelling, easy-to-understand presentations and narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in maintaining data quality by flagging potential inconsistencies or anomalies observed during analysis.
- You recently graduated or you're currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Demonstrable proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases (a coding/querying sample is a plus).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and the ability to create impactful, clear dashboards.
- Foundational knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, A/B testing analysis).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on translating data into business/product implications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data findings clearly.
Success Factors
- Successfully identifying and communicating a non-obvious, high-value insight that directly influences a product or design decision.
- Creating robust, repeatable, and automated reporting that reduces manual effort for the team.
- Effective collaboration with both the Product (strategic/business focus) and Design (user focus) teams to align analysis with their specific needs.
- Synthesizing data from multiple sources (e.g., usage data, survey data, user interviews) into a single, cohesive narrative.
- Distinguishing between correlation and causation when analyzing product adoption and churn metrics.
- Balancing the need for rapid, tactical insights with deeper, strategic analytical projects.
