Strategic Sourcing Manager – FMCG (Remote with Travel)

Our client is a global solutions provider to the FMCG industry seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and execute socially responsible, cost-effective and innovative supply management strategies. Salary: €60K–€70K + 20% bonus.

The Role:

• Lead the strategic sourcing process: supplier discovery, selection, development and relationship management for assigned commodities.
• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
• Negotiate supply contracts covering pricing, volume, performance and cost reductions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing) to support new material sourcing and product innovation.
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigation to prevent supply disruptions.
• Provide commodity forecasts and market insights to guide budgeting and decision-making.
• Liaise with Global Sourcing, Finance, Legal and Procurement Leadership to optimize global opportunities, contracts and savings tracking.
• Champion supplier performance improvement and continuous cost and quality optimization.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally within FMCG or a major commodity group.
• Strong negotiation, leadership and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
• Experience with ERP/Purchasing systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle).
• Familiarity with ISO standards, GMPs and legal/compliance requirements.
• C.P.M. certification preferred.
• National and international travel involved.
