Senior Back-end Engineer

Atlas is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join our core development team and help shape the next generation of our groundbreaking operating system for human-machine collaboration.

As a key member of our Back-end team, you’ll design, implement, and optimize complex, high-performance systems that power Atlas’s real-world robotic and drone platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services in C++.
• Take ownership of core software components that enable real-time communication and control.
• Work with internal and external APIs in multi-threaded and distributed environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — AI, vision, mechatronics, embedded, and UX — to bring new capabilities to life.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through thoughtful architecture and clean code.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in backend development with C++ (modern standards, C++14/17/20).
• Deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Strong analytical skills, independent problem-solving, and the ability to take ownership end-to-end.

ADVANTAGES
