DevOps Engineer

What You Will Do

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will act as the lead engineer for a new private cloud stack in which customers can manage all their cloud needs themselves. This includes a customer-facing user interface, operational processes, IaC providers, and more. It is an exciting challenge for someone who can provide direction, define standards, and lay the foundation for the development of this new platform.

Assignment Details

• Location: Amstelveen, 1 to 2 times per week
• Freelance (ZZP): Yes, possible
• GCM: 7 (high-level engineer)
• Language: Dutch speaking (MUST)

Lead Engineer Profile

• Preferably experience with both back-end and front-end development, but at least one of the two (preferably back-end)
• Experience with Kubernetes, ideally also with OpenShift
• Experience with GitOps
• Experience with Go
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in any language is a strong plus
• Experience in promoting best practices
• Experience in building business-critical, enterprise-grade services
• Experience in applying DevSecOps principles
• Comfortable making quick decisions and providing on-the-job coaching
