Engineering Tech Lead

Join a leading fast growth US tech firm opening their first office in Portugal.

This is a really exciting opportunity to be one of the first members of the team based in their brand-new tech hub in central Porto, working on using cutting edge AI to deliver a future-proof cloud platform.

The Engineering Tech Lead will sit within the integrations team and will be expected to have previously delivered multiple products at large scale.

The Porto team will be working in conjunction with the US tech team, and therefore strong communication skills are essential.

Location: Porto, Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €75k-€85k depending on experience

🔍 What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years within software development focused on backend
• Database knowledge (SQL, Redis etc)
• RESTful APIs – Designing and maintaining
• Understanding of cloud platforms, and containerization
• Experience leading and mentoring other Engineers

💡 Desirable Skills:

• Ruby on Rails (This is the core backend language, but the company are happy for people to pick this up)
• NodeJS, Java, Golang, .NET Core 9
• Frontend knowledge - React, AngularJS, VueJS etc
