Your new team
You will join our engaged and dedicated Project Development team in Romania, which currently consists of six colleagues. They are part of a larger department with the primary aim of developing renewable energy projects in Southeastern Europe. The team works closely together with colleagues based in our Headquarter in Copenhagen and with team members from some of the other markets – and you will do the same.
Your new role
As our new (Senior-) Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and handling our wind- and solar (PV) projects at various level of maturity in Romania and help building up the Romanian pipeline. This role is broad and hands-on, offering exposure across technical, commercial, legal, and planning functions.
We expect to expand the team as the pipeline grows, which will bring interesting opportunities to this role.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead projects from inception to Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage.
- Understand project business case and value creation.
- Prepare and submit applications to authorities.
- Coordinate with internal teams (especially EPC) and external partners.
- Plan and manage project development budgets, contracts and timelines.
- Identify risks and support to find the way to mitigate them.
- Identify and assess potential sites for wind and solar (PV) projects.
- Negotiate and secure land lease agreements.
- Support national project development strategy.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at local events and industry associations.
- Stay informed on renewable energy legislation and market trends.
- University degree in engineering, business, or related fields.
- Solid experience in project management of large infrastructure projects, preferably in renewables or construction.
- Strong knowledge of the Romanian project development and permitting process.
- Proven experience in taking projects through development to RTB and into construction.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects under agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English and Romanian.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experienced (or able) to work on Project Management tools.
- Valid driving license and open to travel (up to 50%).
