Senior Java Developer – E-commerce Platform (Stockholm)

You’ll be part of a medium-sized IT team (around 50–60 people plus consultants) that is building internal capability and reducing reliance on external contractors.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join an agile team driving a major digital transformation. You’ll focus on backend development for a high-traffic e-commerce platform hosted on Microsoft Azure, collaborating closely with architects, frontend developers, DevOps, and product owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for a large-scale e-commerce platform.
• Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Participate in technical planning and system impact assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Java development, ideally in transaction-heavy environments.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., REST Assured), CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
• Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
• Bonus: experience with e-commerce platforms such as Intershop.
