The Project Manager/Construction Manager (15N25) plays a crucial role in directing and overseeing construction projects to ensure they meet goals related to time, cost, and quality. This position is pivotal in planning, organizing, and managing resources effectively and efficiently. As a Project Manager/Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of a project from commencement to completion. You will lead and guide your team, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure that all project goals, best practices, and quality standards are rigorously upheld. In this role, effective problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are crucial to ensuring successful project outcomes. The successful candidate will typically manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring a strong ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, as well as the capability to foresee and mitigate any potential risks and issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans to meet objectives and deliverables.
- Coordinate and manage construction activities effectively to ensure seamless project execution.
- Plan project timelines, schedules, and budgets to ensure adherence to constraints.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment to meet project specifications and budgets.
- Lead and motivate construction teams to achieve project goals and maintain high performance.
- Monitor project progress regularly and provide updates to stakeholders and clients.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to prevent disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements.
- Manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections to supervise and evaluate construction work against standards.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and clients.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management and construction management roles.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of building regulations, safety standards, and legal compliance requirements.
