As the Head of Data Engineering you will be instrumental in the delivery of data assets that support data driven insights and data science initiatives influencing HBF in making sound, data-driven decisions.
Reporting to the General Manager Data & Analytics, you will lead the Data Engineering function as well as maintaining the Snowflake data platform and Tableau BI Platform which underpin the Data & Analytics service offering, ensuring the production of accurate and relevant data to drive business decision making and outcomes.
About You
A seasoned leader you are experienced in building high performing teams of technical experts while guiding and mentoring to achieve team objectives. You are confident in communicating and sharing findings with senior leaders and build genuine stakeholder relationships with ease.
You have extensive experience in data engineering including data lakes and data warehouses using cloud-based tools as well as experience in designing, documenting and deploying customer focused processes and procedures.

- Overseeing the maintenance and operations of Data Platforms including infrastructure and data pipelines
- Designing, documenting and deploying customer focused processes and procedures
- Identifying the future data capabilities and the roles, skills, and technologies required to provide these services
- Knowledge of the Health insurance Industry and experience with with AWS, DBT, Snowflake and Tableau desirable
