DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Devops Engineer to support our SaaS-based application development and deployment initiatives, particularly within Salesforce ecosystem environments. The ideal candidate will have strong DevOps expertise, hands-on experience with automation tools, and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 CI/CD and Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for SaaS-based applications (e.g., Salesforce)
• Utilise and optimize CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD to streamline release processes
• Collaborate closely with development, test automation, and engineering teams to enhance deployment workflows and delivery practices
• Automate tasks and pipeline activities using scripting languages such as Bash or Python
• Support continuous improvement by identifying CI/CD optimization opportunities

🔹 Infrastructure Management

• Administer and maintain cloud-based platforms and infrastructure components
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, including Docker runners and related services
• Ensure high availability, performance, and operational excellence across environments

🔹 Security and Compliance

• Ensure development and deployment processes comply with security standards and organizational policies
• Integrate security checks and controls into CI/CD pipelines to enforce best practices
• Support audit readiness and security awareness within the DevOps lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
• 3–6 years of experience in CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps engineering
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes knowledge is an advantage
• Exposure to Salesforce DevOps or platform integration is a strong bonus
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with SaaS application release cycles
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and infrastructure observability practices
• Familiarity with security standards and governance models for cloud platforms
