The SignIn Orchestration Team is responsible for building robust, scalable, and secure solutions that power the authentication and user sign-in process across our platform. As an SWE1, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining key components of the sign-in experience, ensuring seamless performance for millions of users globally. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving complex technical challenges, and improving system reliability while maintaining a user-centric approach. Ideal candidates are passionate about backend system design, security, and delivering high-quality software that enhances user trust and engagement. Responsibilities
Scope & Impact: SWE1 Builders are proficient with coding and work with guidance. They demonstrate fundamental skills by resolving bugs and developing straightforward solutions. Their impact is focused on the successful completion of assigned tasks.
Minimum Time Spent (%) Technical Contributions: 80%
SWE 1s demonstrate a strong foundation in coding practices. They’re active throughout the software development lifecycle, and explore existing systems outside of their own code.
Solution Design & Implementation: Understands how to translate requirements into code.
Code & System Quality: Writes code that’s meant to be read and reused. Reads and participates in code reviews.
Problem Solving & Debugging: Tackles problems methodically. Seeks out help when needed.
Application & Innovation: Demonstrates basic familiarity with AI, especially GenAI . Are curious about existing tools and use new tools, like AI, in their daily tasks.
SWE 1s are active in their team's delivery process. They learn how to estimate uncertainty, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and ensure their work contributes to customer value.
Planning & Adaptability: Estimates small tasks, breaks down work, identifies dependencies, and adapts to changing requirements.
Removing Barriers and Ensuring Quality: Identifies roadblocks, speaks up about ambiguities or problems, and seeks solutions to maintain momentum.Accountability & Ownership: Delivers tasks on time, communicates progress transparently, and integrates work seamlessly with the team's current efforts.
SWE 1s learn how their work affects customers. They translate feedback into small, impactful improvements while learning to think beyond the code.
Customer Insight: Understands the customer experience through the lens of customer feedback, support signals, and usage data related to their work.
Product-Business Awareness: Understands the impact of their features on customers. Learns to identify and articulate the "why" behind their tasks.

Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, etc.) and knowledge of best coding practices.
- Understanding of basic data structures (arrays, linked lists, hashmaps, etc.) and algorithms (sorting, searching, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Some experience with backend system development, APIs, or database design is preferred.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze, debug, and fix technical problems with guidance from senior engineers.
- Comfortable learning and applying new technologies to solve real-world challenges.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment, including partnering with senior engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Eagerness to Learn:
- Open-minded approach to new tools and technologies.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for growth and development within the role.
- Experience (Preferred, but not required):
- Internship or personal project experience in software development or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of authentication, security principles, or backend frameworks is a plus, especially for teams like SignIn Orchestration.
