We’re looking for a driven and strategic Senior ICT Sourcing Officer to join our team, for 12 months part time, in our business unit, Information and Technology Partners (ITP). As our Senior ICT Sourcing Officer, you’ll be at the centre of our ICT procurement operations, driving excellence across the full lifecycle of sourcing and contract management.

ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. The opportunity

As our Senior ICT Sourcing Officer, you'll play a key role in driving the procurement of cutting-edge ICT products and services that support our organisation's evolving needs. From driving excellence across the full lifecycle of procurement planning to tender development, release and closure, bid evaluation, contract negotiations, contract drafting and monitoring contract performance, you'll be at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions and ensuring we stay ahead in the ever-changing world of technology.

You Will Also Be Responsible To

  • Be the expert, providing strategic advice on procurement strategies, category management, and implementation to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct and coordinate the contract process for hardware and software services, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance with standards.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to deliver exceptional procurement services, sharing your knowledge and skills to empower your team and stakeholders.
  • Assist in leading and participate in projects and initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of ITP and deliver outstanding results.
  • Conduct supplier reviews and foster constructive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain SOPs, user guides, and documentation that support operational excellence
  • Be a role model for performance, innovation, and collaboration, contributing to a workplace where everyone feels valued and inspired.


What We Are Looking For (qualifications, Registrations, Experience)

We are after a superstar with professional communication, collaboration and influencing skills and has ability to present technical information and risks in plain language, verbally and written.

Additionally, We Are Looking For

  • Knowledge and experience in applying procurement and contract management related policies, procedures or frameworks in a complex organisation, ideally experience in a public sector or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Sound understanding and experience in delivering end-to-end procurement services in a large complex organisation.
  • Hold, or successfully obtain within 12 months of appointment, a Level 2 or higher Queensland Government Procurement certification. ( https://www.forgov.qld.gov.au/procurement-certification-program )
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
