We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You will play a key role building payment systems that move money across Latin America in milliseconds. We process XXM+ transactions monthly. Your code will directly impact millions of users making cross-border payments easier.
This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

- 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Proven experience in the Fintech industry or with payment systems, wallets, or transactional platforms.
- Strong Java Skills.
- Experience working with Kafka for real-time event processing
- Strong understanding of MySQL + Redis, handling serious traffic
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure that never sleeps.
- Effective communication skills: concise, clear, and to the point.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken B2 or More)
- Resilient and adaptable in the face of ambiguity or change.
- Strong team player who can collaborate effectively across time zones.
- Fast thinker, proactive problem solver, and self-starter.
- Able to maintain structure and clarity in unstructured or high-pressure environments.
- Passionate about delivering impact through technology and continuous improvement.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services for cross-border payments.

- Build and maintain Java-based microservices handling high-volume, low-latency transactions.
- Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka to support real-time processing.
- Optimize databases and caching layers (MySQL, Redis) to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate on architecture and solution design, contributing to technical decisions and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and improve system performance, ensuring availability, resilience, and smooth operations in production.
