This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to drive both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of a software product in an agile environment. This is a hybrid role, combining the responsibilities of a Product Owner and a Product Manager — balancing long-term product vision with hands-on delivery ownership.

You will work closely with the client, engineering, QA, and design teams to translate business objectives into actionable plans, maintain development focus, and ensure that deliverables create real user and business value. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with consistent overlap with Pacific Time working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap and ensure alignment between business goals and delivery priorities.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, maintaining a clear and organized backlog.
  • Prioritize features and manage trade-offs between scope, schedule, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and design to ensure smooth sprint execution and delivery quality.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and promote continuous improvement.
  • Gather and analyze feedback, usage data, and KPIs to guide iterations and future product direction.
  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and updates to stakeholders across technical and business domains.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of combined experience as both Product Owner and Product Manager in a software or SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic product leadership with hands-on delivery execution.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working directly with development teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools.
  • Proven success working in distributed teams and managing deliverables across time zones.
  • Must have significant daily overlap with Pacific Time working hours to collaborate effectively with the client.

Nice to have:

  • Technical background or strong understanding of software development processes.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making, analytics, or A/B testing.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and user research methods.

  • Rate Range: Your starting rate is negotiable depending on your skills and experience.
  • This is an Hourly position.
  • Contractors are paid monthly via wire transfer.
